foreign health insurer question (no replies)

"If a Missouri resident purchases or enrolls in a health insurance policy or health benefit plan that is lawfully sold, offered, or issued in the state of Illinois, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Iowa , the policy or plan shall not be subject to the requirements of Missouri's insurance laws. A foreign health insurer, however, shall be subject to regulation by the director with regard to enforcement of the contractual benefits under the policy or health benefit plan (Section 376.685)."

I live and work in Missouri but I am not sure if this law would help us. My company is based in KS and my insurance is provided by Coventry Health Care of Kansas. Can anyone clarify for me whether the above language would mean my family is excluded from being covered?

autism rally in O'fallon (no replies)

I just wanted to say that the rally was wonderful!!! My son had a blast and was really happy to meet all the people there. We also met a severely autistic non-verbal boy who I will never forget. So much information and so many people there. Darryl Strawberry and Jackie Joyner Kersee really impressed me at how nice they were and how it seemed they were happy to be there. Rupp and Schmitt are good guys for doing this. It was well worth the two hour drive to get there. I hope to see you all in springfield on the 3rd!!! Just wish there was one closer to home.

Tracy
